Be careful when removing the protective film on this side. There is a reflective film on one side of the sheet, you should not try to remove this “foil”! The side of the reflective film can be recognized by direct contact between pen and mirror. The spy mirror has a protective film on both sides. In addition, the larger the surface of the mirror sheet, the greater the chance of reflection errors. If this is not done properly, reflection errors will occur (laughing mirror effect). Mirror acrylic is somewhat flexible and must be attached to a flat surface for good results. Polycarbonate mirrors are more impact resistant than acrylic mirrors. PyraSied also has a mirror made of acrylic and polycarbonate. The spy mirror can be ordered cut-to-size with a maximum sheet size of 2440x1220mm. PyraSied has the Primo® XT Spy Mirror in stock in 3mm thick silver. The spy mirror is also known as spyglass, police mirror, magic mirror, confrontation mirror, and/or observation mirror. The spy mirror sheets are not suitable for outdoor applications or in wet environments. When used as an observation mirror or smart mirror, it must be darker on the observation side of the mirror than on the side to be observed, otherwise, you will see through the mirror. The low light transmission allows some visibility through the sheet, making this material often used for observations, art installations, smart mirrors, scientific applications, and fixtures. The mirror side has a light transmission of 15%. The Primo® XT spy mirror is a special silver mirror with a thin mirror coating on one side of a clear, extruded acrylic sheet.
